Renuka and Erandi
Renuka & Erandi
Founders · Ceylon Hills
A mother and daughter connected by a love of tea that spans generations. Renuka brought the craft — rolling each coin by hand with patience passed down through family. Erandi brought the vision — the belief that something so personal deserved to be shared with the world.
Chapter One

Shaped by
her hands.

For Erandi, tea was never just a drink — it was the rhythm of home. The scent of fresh leaves and warm steam was as familiar as her mother's voice.

Renuka would roll each tea leaf slowly, pressing and folding until a small, dense coin formed between her palms. One by one, entirely by hand.

"Amma would sit for hours. Each coin was its own small act of love."

Erandi grew up watching, learning — understanding that what ended up in the cup was inseparable from the hands that made it.

Chapter Two

The people
behind the leaf.

Every Ceylon Hills tea comes from family-run estates in the Uva and Nuwara Eliya highlands. Places where the rhythm of the harvest still dictates the pace of life.

We work on direct terms with our partners — no intermediaries, no brokers, no middlemen. Full visibility from leaf to cup.

"We don't buy tea. We build partnerships — measured in decades, not seasons."

Chapter Three

Crafted for
the ritual.

Whole leaves steep differently. The flavour opens slowly, the colour deepens, the aroma fills the room before the first sip. That is something a tea bag simply cannot give you.

Our blends are whole leaf, never broken, never dusty — and never wrapped in plastic. No microplastics released into your cup. Just pure leaf, pure flavour.

"Whole leaf tea is not a luxury. It is what tea is supposed to taste like."

What we stand for.

The principles behind every decision we make.

01
Zero Plastic Packaging
Every element of our packaging is fully plastic-free — recyclable or compostable. Not an afterthought. A design principle we committed to from day one.
02
No Microplastics in Your Cup
Most tea bags release billions of microplastic particles when steeped. We use no bags, no plastic mesh, no nylon. What goes in your cup is leaf and water — nothing else.
03
Whole Leaf, Always
Tea bags use broken fannings and dust — the lowest grade of tea. Whole leaves retain their essential oils, complexity, and flavour. The difference in taste is immediate and unmistakable.
04
Taste Worth Caring About
Whole leaves steep slowly, opening in layers. The flavour is deeper, the aroma more complete, the colour richer. This is what tea tastes like when nothing has been compromised.
05
Direct Supply Chain
We source directly from named estates with no brokers or intermediaries. We know exactly where every leaf comes from, who grew it, and how. That visibility is non-negotiable.
06
Long-Term Partnerships
We pay above fair-trade prices and commit to multi-year relationships with our estate partners. When Ceylon Hills grows, the people behind our tea grow with us.
